START SEQUENCE AGAIN

The Stroll:
Periodically (give the couple ahead of you enough time to show off their stuff) the guy and the
gal at the head of the line will pair up holding hands and stroll down between the lines to the
other end and get back in their corresponding line. The stroll is sort of free style but can
consist of forward lock steps mixed with grapevines and two-step like traveling turns. Actually,
anything goes which make it more fun as each couple perhaps tries to outdo the previous couple.
I've seen people stroll down on their knees.

This movement from the head to the end of the line is called a waterfall. As people leave the
head of the line and stroll to the other end they leave an open space. To compensate for this
the steps for the vine going toward the head of the line need to be longer than those going
toward the end of the line so the line moves up to fill the space. The next person in line
and so forth moves to occupy the place in line that was vacated by the person who just strolled
down to the end of the line.

* Choreographer information came from Bunny Gibson who is, perhaps, the best known of the
regulars on the early American Bandstand shows. The Stroll was introduced in 1957 on American
Bandstand by Chuck Willis who was known as "The King of the Stroll" using the "C.C. Rider" music.
