RESCUE ME

CHOREOGRAPHER: William Sevone (WM '71) (April 13th 2002) Fremantle, Australia
		email: williamsevone@yahoo.com.au
COUNT: 32
TYPE: 2 Wall Line Dance
LEVEL: Beginner
MUSIC: Rescue Me by Fontella Bass-123 bpm

Choreographer's note: Another song to jerk the memories - and again....one of those
pieces of music that is enjoyed by as many people who were not even born at the
time of it's original release....psst - 1965. Remember also those dances that
emerged from the USA in the early to mid 1960's, at least one or two a week and
each had their own piece of music to go with the dance (could you see that today in
the Line Dancing arena - with around 200/300 dances a week being written each with
their own piece of music - who said Hooray for the 'One Dance, One Song'). Ah yes,
those halcyon days of dances like (The) Wahtusi, Monkey, Swim, Shimmy, Shake, Mummy
Walk, Hoochie Coochie, Skate, Duck, Shotgun and many many more...or was it only on
tv shows and 'beach' films that they did those 'dances'. Anyway time for some fun
and relive those halcyon days with excerpts from such 'classics' as (The) Swim,
Monkey Time, and Mummy Walk and as the late great Kenny Everett would say.."..and
all done in the best possible taste". Remember to read the 'Dance notes'.
