COUNT: 32
TYPE: 4 Wall Line Dance
LEVEL: Advanced Beginner
MUSIC: The Ballad Of Davy Crockett by Kentucky Headhunters-142 bpm ('Electric Barnyard')

Choreographer's note: Now this is one piece of music I suspect that a good many of the
world's population will have heard at some time or other...and some of those people will
remember ALL the verses (all 20 of them) and not just the chorus. How many of you remember
the t.v. series though - it's older than 'Monkey Magic'. It starred Fess Parker as
'Davy Crockett' and was shown on t.v. in the mid 1950's....did you know that Fess Parker
was asked to be the American Ambassador to Australia in 1985. And just in case you have
not sussed/worked it out the dance title stands for 'Davy Crockett, Tennessee'

Born on a mountain top in Tennessee
Off through the woods he's marching along
His land is biggest an' his land is best
greenest state in the land of the free
makin' up yarns an' a singin' a song
from grassy plains to mountain crest
Raised in the woods so he knew ev'ry tree
Itchin' fer fightin' an' rightin' a wrong
He's ahead of us all meetin' the test
kilt him a b'ar when he was only three
he's ringy as a b'ar an' twict as strong
followin' his legend into the West.
Davy, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier!
Davy, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier
Davy, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier
